About the Project

Project Title

School Sanitation and Hygiene

Project Objectives

- At the end of the project, there will be a newly constructed set of 30 sowers and 20 toilet units that would improve the basic sanitary infrastructure in the school.
- By 12^th month of the project, the students of the school would have improved their capacity to live basic norms of hygiene, as would be shown in their change in hygiene behavior and learning.
- At the end of the project there would be a marked improvement in the learning environment of the school marked by ease of access to toilets and showers for students, and increased attendance to classes by girls in the school, that would impact on the learning outcome in the school
- Enhancement of teaching of hygiene and hygiene practice in the school. By the 12^th month, the school would incorporate hygiene and environmental studies scheme of work to the teaching in the school and 80% of girls in the school would have passed the exam on basic hygiene for girls at the school.
